TAMUT enrollment hits record

Based on preliminary numbers,Texas A&M University-Texarkana student enrollment has hit an all-time record of 1952 students, according to a university statement.
It marks an 8.26 percent increase since the fall 2010 semester.
"Right now, our credit hours are 22 percent above what they were two years ago, which is very exciting," said Dr. Kent Kelso with Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
The university plans to hire more faculty and staff in anticipation of additional growth.
