Louisiana Tech Rushes Past Rice

(Ruston, LA) It took three weeks of the college football season, but Louisiana Tech finally cristened Joe Aillet Stadium with its first home game of the 2012 season.

The Bulldogs offense looked right at home, pasting 56 points on the scoreboard for the second straight week and cruising to a 56-37 win over Rice. 

Louisiana Tech moves to 2-0. Rice will be a regular opponent for Tech after this season, when the Bulldogs join the Owls in Conference USA.

La Tech quarterback Colby Cameron was 19/24 for 276 yards and four touchdown passes.

Quinton Patton led the recieving corps. with 7 catches for 119 yards and two TD's.

Running back Kenneth Dixon bruised Rice with 14 carries for 113 yards and three TD's.
