(New Orleans, LA) Most of the NFL headlines had swirled around the New Orleans Saints during the NFL offeseason, but when the real season began, Robert Griffin III stole the front page.

The rookie passed for 320 yards and two touchdowns in his NFL debut, leading his Redskins (1-0) to a 40-32 win over the Saints (0-1).

Drew Brees recorded most of his yardage in volume, completing 24-of-52 passes for 339 yards, three TD's and two interceptions.

The Saints hit the road in week two, heading to Charlotte to square off against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Kickoff is slated for 1pm eastern.
