(Houston, TX) After waiting an extra week to begin the season, Louisiana Tech's offense erupted with 56 points in their season opener, and barely survived for a 56-49 win over Houston.

The Bulldogs season opener against Texas A&M was postponed due to Hurricane Isaac.

When Tech head coach Sonny Dykes' crew finally hit the field to start the season, his quarterback Colby Cameron threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns and his starting running back, Tevin Kevin, pitched in three rushing touchdowns.

Louisiana Tech built a 49-27 lead with 12:33 left in the 4th quarter, but saw Houston outscore the Bulldogs 21-7 in the final 9:36 of the game.

Tech moves to 1-0 on the season and returns home to face Rice on Sept. 15th.
