Authorities say 29-year-old Troy Robinson died after being shot in a Wake Village home on August 28.
Wake Village Police are searching for answers in a homicide case.
"We have developed a possible lead," said Wake Village Police Chief Ronny Sharp on Wednesday.
Police are trying to identify the women captured on surveillance video, riding in what's believed to be a Lexus. The recording was taken in the Texarkana area, hours before Robinson was shot, Sharp said.
The women are believed to have been among the last people who made contact with Robinson.
"We are attempting to locate the vehicle or the females for identification purposes. They are considered persons of interest at this time," Sharp said.
Mike Schroeder lives across the street from where Robinson lived. He says he's shocked by what happened in his quiet neighborhood.
"You're not immune to it. It can happen to anybody. Well, that proved that can happen to anybody, anywhere," Schroeder said.
Robinson's funeral is set for this weekend.
The car is described as a four-door Lexus, model year between 1995 to 1999.
The car has a sunroof, is damaged, and is missing a front license plate.
