Authorities believe 25-year-old Jeremi Matthew Blake of Queen City, Texas allegedly impersonated an officer during an encounter with a Miller County, Arkansas woman Saturday.
The Miller County Sheriff's Office says the suspect allegedly pulled over a Miller County woman on Saturday along Highway 237 using blue lights. He was described as wearing a black t-shirt with "POLICE" on the front, according to Chief Deputy Duke Schofield.
"At this point he made the subject get out of the vehicle and strike several difference poses while she was handcuffed and he took photographs of her," Schofield said.
The woman was then reportedly let go.
A Bowie County Deputy arrested Blake on Sunday for reportedly trying to pull over two other women in Texas.
Blake faces charges of impersonation and kidnapping in Miller County.
"Anytime somebody impersonates a police officer it puts the community at unrest with real police officers," Schofield said.
Schofield says female drivers who are suspicious of being pulled over by an unmarked car to stop in a well-lit public place.
Fouke resident Amanda Dyas says she plans to do the same.
"Pull into a safe area or a home of somebody that I know," Dyas said.
Or authorities say call 911.
Blake's bond is set at $2 million and he'll have a "hold" placed on him by Miller County.
The Miller County Sheriff's office plans to temporarily bring in marked cars to help unmarked cars in traffic stops, so drivers can be sure it's them.
