A candlelight 'Mass of Angels' for the five children who died in a tragic accident Monday afternoon (August 20, 2012) on I-20 in Van Zandt County, Texas, will be held at 6:30 tonight at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 410 N. Alamo Blvd., in Marshall, Texas.

The Mass will be celebrated by the Rev Denzil Vithanage, pastor of St. Joseph's.

The children, ages 2 through 13,  were among 12 people in an SUV - a GMC Envoy - going westbound from Marshall on I-20 when a tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control and roll over near the exit ramp at FM 16.

In addition to the children who died, there were four other children in the van, one of whom was not injured, and three of whom were hospitalized.

Also injured were 34-year-old Estela Acuna -  wife of driver Federico
Acuna -  and her sister, Elida Jaimes, 24.

Only the driver, who was not injured, and the 15-year-old who was not injured, were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, and nine of the passengers were thrown from the vehicle.

The children who died have been identified as Rosvaelia Jaimes, 13; Omar Jaimes, 7; Saideth Acuna, 6; Ulisa Acuna, 3; and Judith Jaimes, 2.
