Sickle Cell Disease Home Run for a Cure

The Northwest LA Chapter of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America Inc. hosted the 36th annual Softball Tournament.

It has grown from humble roots with just 16 teams the first year, to over 200 this year.

In the past nearly $60,000 is raised every year to help raising funding to find a cure for the blood disorder that is common in the African American community.
