Shopping for back to school clothes and supplies can be expensive.

But it doesn't have to break your bank.

Locally, many parents are turning to consignment shops to score deals on back to school shopping.
The national retail federation estimates, on average, parents spend around $ 600.00  per child.
The Salvation Army's thrift store in Shreveport has seen an increase in school-related shopping.

If your child has old school uniforms they can no longer use, you can donate them to the local salvation army store.
