A Caddo Parish jury today (Friday) convicted Eddie L. Jackson of second degree kidnapping and simple arson of $500 or more. Jurors deliberated just over an hour before finding Jackson guilty on both counts.

Winslow disappeared outside her mother's apartment in Oil City last year. Her Dodge Charger was found burning near north Lakeshore drive.  Jackson was arrested the day after her disappearance,

Winslow has yet to be found.

Judge Ramona Emanuel set August 8 as a tentative date for Jackson to return to court to obtain setting. A sentencing date will be set during that appearance.

Jackson could be facing a maximum sentence of 40 years at hard labor on the kidnapping charge. Simple arson with damage of $500 or more carries a fine of up to $15,000 and a maximum of 15 years in prison at hard labor.

Caddo Parish ADAs Bill Edwards and Dhu Thompson successfully prosecuted the case.

Shreveport attorney Joe Clark represented Jackson.
