Woman Dies After Her Car Slams Into Tree

A woman is dead after police say she swerved her car and hit a tree. The accident happened just after 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Intersection of Old Mooringsport Road and Dixie-Blanchard Highway. Witnesses say they heard tires squeeling then found the unidentified woman trapped inside the car. Soon after arriving, rescuers confirmed the woman was dead.
