President Obama's approval ratings went through the roof when Bin Laden was killed. Now he's hoping that will help him in November.

Rivals four years ago, former President Bill Clinton campaigned for President Obama at a private fundraiser last night, and appears in a new ad touting Mr. Obama's leadership in the death of Osama bin laden.

Democrats say the ad promotes the president's tough decision-making.

A new time magazine article claims at the time, even Vice President and Defense Secretary Gates advised against it. "When the time came for him to make a momentous decision like that, he took the action that did bring Bin Laden to justice," said Deputy National Security Advisor for Counterterrorism & Homeland Security John Brennan.

"Mitt Romney said it was a foolish thing to do a few years ago, I certainly think that's fair game," said Sr. Advisor to the President, Robert Gibbs.

Republicans don't think so. "He's managed to turn it into a divisive, partisan, political attack. . . I think most Americans will see it as a sign of a desperate campaign," said Sr. Advisor to Mitt Romney Ed Gillespie.

The Obama-Romney rivalry becomes even more intense this week, as Newt Gingrich is expected to drop out of the race Wednesday.

In fact, he lost his Secret Service protection last week, which reportedly cost taxpayers almost $40,000 a day.
