Tons of tears, lots of hugs, the homecoming of 100 airmen Saturday morning at Barksdale Air Force Base was an emotional, heartwarming experience for all involved.     A young wife and mom has waited months for this day to finally come.

"This is the first time he's been deployed.  He's been gone over three months - almost four months," said Sheryl Strozzier, husband came home from deployment.

Strozzier and her two little sons can't wait to see the husband and father who they've worried about since he left.

"Thank god so glad he's coming home safe.  Just so happy," said Strozzier.

Kayla allison also waits for her husband to come home.  With a 6 month old and a four-year old, life hasn't been easy.

"Just trying to do everything by myself, my mom's helped me a lot," said Allison.

These wives have one thing on their minds.

"Give him a big hug and kiss," said Allison.

"Just hug him - just can't wait to hold him again.  We're really excited.  We're ready to see him, ready to have him home," said Strozzier.

It happens quickly --- the air men and women jump off buses to greet their families --- exhausted, but happy after their long trip from Afghanistan

Strozzier's husband, Chris, is instantly surrounded by love.
"It's great," said Chris.

After so many months away from their comfortable lives here, many of those coming home have big plans.

"Just taking it easy - relaxing," said Chris.

And their loved ones are ready to make it happen.

"He says he wants to go and have a steak and get some rest - some much needed rest," said Strozzier.

Almost 50 more air men and women return home Monday from their deployments.
