Military students make up one- third of the population at Kerr Elementary.  Teachers and administrators say that's why they go out of their way to make sure these students get the tools they need for a great education.  Next year, Bossier schools along with the chamber of commerce are partnering with the Military Child Education Coalition to hire someone dedicated to montoring military student's transition in school.  The Military Student Transition Consultant will handle everything from credit transfers to counseling on deployment and loss of life.  Air Force officials say this means Bossier is the first Air Force community taking part in such a program.
