Suspect in North Shreveport shooting identified

By: Nancy Cook
Updated: March 21, 2012

Authorities believe they have identified the suspect responsible for shooting a man at a North Shreveport apartment complex earlier this year.

Detectives procured an arrest warrant charging 22-year-old Breon Harris with one count of aggravated battery in connection with the shooting of 21-year-old Jeremy Bradford back on January 7, 2012 outside of an apartment home in the 4500 block of North Market Street. Harris' bond is set at $100,000.

Investigators believe Harris shot Bradford in the abdomen during some type of dispute between the two men. Harris fled the scene of the crime prior to officer arrival and Bradford was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department. The victim survived his injuries but is still recovering.

Breon Harris, of the 900 block of Beauregard Drive in Shreveport, is described as a black male about five feet ten inches tall weighing approximately 155 pounds. Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Harris is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
