Caddo announces school plans for next two years and beyond

Caddo Parish School Board's second budget work session held March 13 recommended  improving and building facilities for the district in 2013-2014.  The facilities proposal was contingent upon a bond, which was not recommended to bring to the public.  Those schools that were considered in the recommendations will not have changes in the 2013-14 school year.

Specifically for the school years 2012-2013, 2013-14 and beyond:

    Blanchard Elementary will continue as K-5

    Donnie Bickham Middle will continue as 6-8

    81st will continue their Pre-K program

    Mooretown will continue their Pre-K program

    Vivian Elementary/Middle will continue as K-8

    North Caddo High School will continue as 9-12

    Oil City Elementary / Middle will continue as K-8

    Herndon Elementary/Middle will continue as K-8 and no construction of a new facility on the campus.

    No construction of a new K-8 facility in southeast Caddo Parish

    Mooringsport will continue as a K-5 school

    Timmons will continue as a K-5 school

    No construction of a new Pre-K facility in western Caddo Parish

    Creswell Elementary will continue as a K-5 school

    Barret Paideia will continue as a K-5 and there will not be new construction on the campus

    Ridgewood Middle will continue as 6-8

    West Shreveport Elementary and Central Elementary will be consolidated into JS Clark Elementary for 2012-13
