Broken water main causes Bossier Parish Courthouse closure

The Bossier Parish Courthouse in Benton will be closed today (Feb. 28) due to a break in a 16" water main on Palmetto Road, according to Sammy Halphen, director of Public Safety for the Bossier Parish Police Jury.

In addition to the courthouse, the break has caused the Town of Benton and its surrounding areas to be without water.

It is anticipated that water will be restored later this afternoon, but a boil advisory will be in place for a short time once the water has been restored.
