Tigers hold off Auburn in Overtime

BATON ROUGE -- After Auburn forced overtime with a last-second three-pointer, LSU outscored the Tigers 9-2 in the extra period to even its conference record at 2-2 on Tuesday evening at the Maravich Center.

LSU (12-6, 2-2 SEC) opened a 10-point lead just before halftime, but Auburn (11-7, 1-3 SEC) hit a halfcourt shot as time expired to get momentum entering the second half.

Auburn built an eight-point lead midway through the final 20 minutes, but LSU found an offensive spark with a 10-0 to take a 48-46 lead.

Guard Anthony Hickey led LSU with 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists, as the homestanding Tigers shot 44.1 percent from the field.

Auburn was held to 34.9 percent from the field.

LSU know travels to Gainesville to face Florida on Saturday at 5:00.
