Congratulations to the 2011-2012 BPCC Cavalier Cheer Squad for being one of two teams chosen as Most Improved Squad at the National Cheerleaders Association College Camp at SMU in Dallas. This award is voted on by the NCA Staff.
The cheer squad also captured three blue ribbons in rally routine evaluation, game day evaluation, and final evaluation and received a spirit stick for the team showing spirit and having positive attitudes towards their teammates as well as other teams.
The BPCC Cavalier cheerleader squad consists of seven two-year members and performs at all home basketball games and represents the College at various events on-campus and in the community throughout the year. Students receive course credit and scholarships are available. Cheerleaders learn all the techniques needed to walk onto a four-year university cheer squad.
Cheer coach for the Cavalier cheer squad is Rachel Randolph, who has been with the squad for five years.
