A judiciary commission has recommended charges against a Caddo District Judge.
Judge Michael Walker was subject to five charges but only four of them could be proven by the commission.
The charges allege Walker called a woman who had a case pending before him and talked negatively about the woman`s lawyer.
He is also accused of throwing out a plea agreement between the State and defense in a drug case. The agreed upon sentence was five years hard labor with the A.D.A.agreeing not to multiple bill the defendant.
The recommendation says Walker had the suspect plead guilty to a different charge that came with a lesser sentence.
It also states that walker entered the Shreveport City Court unannounced and without an escort, which is against policy. The findings in the recommendation show Walker violated the "announce and escort" policy several times.
The commission recommends that Walker pay a fine for the cost of the commission`s investigation, $1,643.75
They also want him to be publicly "censured" or reprimanded.
