It shocked the Greenwood community when Joe Prock was severely beaten and set afire when he interrupted a robbery at his elderly mother`s house. "In the unfortunate circumstances that Miss Bobbie Prock, if she was not available for the actual jury trial or trial on the matter that her testimony would be preserved so we could use it at trial, "explained Eddie Brossette, the Caddo Parish Assistant District Attorney. The state is asking a Caddo Parish judge to allow Bobbie Prock`s testimony to be video taped because of her ailing health. Under the request, the defense would still have the opportunity to cross examine. In fact they have no objections to taping the testimony. "The court is not allowing that to happen at this time so we are asking the court of appeal to decide whether or not they feel it`s proper," commented Brossette. The judge said it does not comply with the rules of his courtroom. In April two men were arrested in this case, Felton Dorsey and Randy Wilson but for friends and family of Joe Prock they are still trying to deal with the loss. "This is still a grieving time for them and they do not wish to make any statements," said Brossette.
