Flags being placed on veterans' tombstones in honor of Memorial Day

This morning, Boone Funeral Home personnel and the Patriot guard Riders are placing American flags at the headstones of every veteran buried in Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville.

NLVC was the first state veterans cemetery developed in Louisiana. The cemetery provides interment for veterans and their dependents, commemorating the veteran's service to the nation.  

    It also serves as a cemetery for active duty soldiers and their dependents.
