OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA - Eighth-seeded Missouri upset first-seeded Texas, 6-4, in the second game of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship at RedHawks Field.

Missouri and Texas each notched three runs in the first five innings, including a solo shot from this year's Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Erich Weiss (Texas), in the fourth inning to tie things up at two runs apiece. A sixth-inning, bases-clearing double by Missouri's Jonah Schmidt gave the Tigers a 6-3 lead, one that MU would not relinquish.

Tiger right-hander Eric Anderson kept Missouri in the game by tossing a career-high 95 pitches over seven innings. Schmidt went 2-for-5 with four RBI to lead the Tigers' offense.

Missouri (25-30) improved to 19-21 at the Big 12 event and will face the Oklahoma State Cowboys Thursday at 4 p.m. Texas (40-14) falls to 26-20 overall at the Championship and will take on the Baylor Bears Thursday morning at 9 a.m.
