Man who attacked girlfriend with hammer still at large

Bossier City police are asking the public for help with located a man wanted on a criminal charge for attacking his girlfriend with a hammer. Gregory Lamar Coleman, 35, of Bossier City is wanted on a charge of aggravated second degree battery. Bond on his warrant is set at $50,000.          Coleman struck his girlfriend multiple times in the face and head during an altercation at Coleman’s home in the 1600 block of East Third Street on February 8, 2011. As a result of the attack, the victim was seriously injured and sustained severe lacerations to her face and head. Personnel with the Bossier City Fire Department were called to the scene and transported her to Willis Knighton-Bossier for treatment.

            Coleman is a black male, 6’7” tall, weighs about 230 pounds and has several gold teeth. Anyone with information about Coleman’s whereabouts is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100 or detectives at (318) 741-8626.  They can also submit a web or text tip via the Bossier Crime Stoppers website – bossiercrimestoppers.org.  Callers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to a $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
