Anonymous tip lands Greenwood senior citizen behind bars in Bossier

An anonymous tip to the Bossier Sheriff’s Department landed a Greenwood senior citizen behind bars.
Eleanor Birdie Eskis, 65, of the 8400 block of Odom Road, was arrested following a possible drug deal. The Bossier Sheriff’s Department received an anonymous tip that a possible drug deal was happening at a dollar store on Hwy. 3. The caller was able to give a vehicle description, and deputies were able to locate the vehicle in the store’s parking lot.
Deputies made contact with Eskis and another white male and female. No one would admit to the drug deal, but four Lori tab tablets and one and a half Valium pills were found on a piece of aluminum foil in Eskis’ purse.
Eskis was arrested and transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility. She is charged with possession of schedule III, hydrocodone and possession of schedule IV, diazepam. Her bond was set at $7,000.
