Bossier woman arrested for DWI

By: Nancy Cook
Updated: January 19, 2011

A Bossier City woman was arrested early Friday morning for first-offense driving while intoxicated and hit and run, according to Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Amanda Kaye Green, 31, of the 200 block of Green Meadow, was taken into custody after she left the roadway to the left  in the 2300 block of Caplis Sligo Road and crashed into a concrete culvert.  Green called for a ride, left her vehicle partly in the road, went to her residence, and then returned to the scene of the accident.

When a Bossier Sheriff’s deputy made contact with Green, he smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her person.  The deputy says Green was unsteady on her feet and had bloodshot eyes.  She performed poorly on a field sobriety test and blew a .168% on the Intoxilyzer 5000.

Green was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked.  Her bond was set at $2,000.
