Church security training scheduled for Saturday
A “Church Security Tactical Training” class will be conducted Saturday at the North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy, located on Old Plain Dealing Road between Benton and Plain Dealing, according to Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.
The class, as of today, will include 18-20 participants, and will run from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The first half of the class will involve academics and will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at noon. The second half of the class will involve shooting at the Bossier Sheriff Range and will go from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
The Bossier Sheriff’s Department will provide the training as mandated by state law.
