A Haughton man and woman were arrested late Friday night on various drug charges, according to Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.

Brian Scott Payne, 41, and Misty Dawn Hutchinson, 24, both of the 100 block of Green Park Lane were each charged with possession of methamphetamine, second-offense marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of legend drugs.  Payne and Hutchinson were taken into custody after Bossier Sheriff’s deputies came to their residence as part of a narcotics investigation.

When the deputies walked into the residence, they immediately smelled the odor of burnt marijuana.  They also saw some loose marijuana on a bedside table.

After further searching, they found several meth pipes with residue and a bottle with pills later identified as the legend drugs, Tramadol and Tizanidine.  Payne and Hutchinson did not have prescriptions for the pills.

Payne and Hutchinson were transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked.  Their bonds were set at $6,000 each.
