Both suspects in Wednesday’s shooting in custody
Both suspects in connection with the Wednesday shooting of 30-year-old Natalia Jackson are in police custody. Donald Ray King, 21 years old, of the 700 block of
SPD’s Robbery Intervention Detail, took 20 year old Jeremy Rainey into custody Wednesday night, after a brief foot pursuit. Rainey was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of illegal use of a weapon.
Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Rainey and 21-year-old Donald Ray King Wednesday night, following a shooting earlier that day.
The victim, Natalia Jackson, 30, was shot once in the left arm. She was standing in a yard on Clover Street when King and Rainey apparently opened fire in the 1400 block of Clover Street.
Investigators do not believe Jackson was the intended target, but she was struck, nevertheless. Detectives were able to develop the two suspects and obtain arrest warrants for them.
