Bossier man arrested for going almost twice the speed limit

Updated: December 14, 2010

An Elm Grove man was arrested Monday morning for driving 101 mph in a 55-mile-per-hour zone, driving under suspension and careless operation, according Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen.  In addition, he has three active warrants out of the Bossier Sheriff’s Department.

Johnaton (sic) Dewayne Milton, 26, of the 300 block of Thomas Jones Road, was taken into custody after a Bossier Sheriff’s deputy clocked him traveling north on Highway 71 at 101 miles per hour in a 55 mile-per-hour zone.

When the deputy made contact with Milton, he discovered that Milton was driving under suspension.  The deputy also found that Milton had three active warrants—one for failure to abide by a suspended sentence, one for a property damage probation violation and one for a simple battery probation violation.

Milton was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked.  His bond is pending.
