A sitter for an 89-year-old Shreveport woman was arrested for stealing over $10,000 from the woman's bank account, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jennifer Hall, 48, of the 8900 block of Melanie Lane in Shreveport, was arrested following an investigation by Detective Alan Davidson of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force. Hall was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for felony theft.

Hall is accused of using the victim's checking account number to pay her personal bills without the victim's knowledge. Hall was employed by the woman in early 2006 and set up automatic bill payments on several of her own accounts in October 2006. The total amount of the theft was $10,178.
