Bossier City police have arrested a man for possession of child pornography as part of an investigation conducted by the Louisiana Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, a specialized law enforcement unit that investigates computer crimes.

Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department’s Juvenile Unit arrested William Olen Titchenal, 71, of Bossier City Monday afternoon on charges of possession of child pornography after executing a search warrant at his residence at the Fountain Lakes Apartments in the 3300 block of East Texas Street.

Bossier City police were contacted by the Attorney General’s office after its investigation determined Titchenal had downloaded images of pornography involving children onto his computer from the Internet. Titchenal was also charged with obstruction of justice after investigators learned he had deleted the images. Titchenal’s computer was also seized.

Titchenal was booked into the Bossier City jail and later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security. His bond had not been set as of Tuesday morning.
