BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs hosted the Oklahoma City Blazers on Saturday night in what began as a dead even game. Both teams skated aggressively but were unable to score in the first period. It was much the same scenario in the second period with two great goaltenders exchanging save after save. The Mudbugs could not capitalize on five power play opportunities in the period. The third period was a different story with Daniel Pegoraro scoring on rebound to give the Mudbugs a 1-0 lead. The Blazers answered when A.J. Maclean jammed a rebound past Ken Carroll to tie the game. After a scoreless five minute overtime session. The game went to a shootout. Forbes MacPherson scored for the Mudbugs to give the Bugs a shootout lead. Multiple shooters were turned aside before Peter Robertson tied the shootout for the Blazers. The shootout progressed to a seventh round when Joe Ori beat Blazer`s goaltender Sean Conners on a forehand deke. Ken Carroll denied Marc Conners to end the game and the Mudbugs picked up the victory.
