Suspect Wanted In Connection To Shooting Outside A Bossier City Liquor Store

Bossier City police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred last week outside a liquor store. Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit have secured an arrest warrant for 29-year old Marvin Thomas charging him with aggravated second degree battery and felon in possession of a firearm. Thomas is charged with shooting 21-year old Kevin Rodreicus Fields of Bossier City in the leg during an altercation on the night of February 27 outside Texas Liquor Stop in the 1600 block of East Texas Street. Both Thomas and Fields had fled the scene before officers arrived. Officers learned later that Fields was taken by private car to Willis Knighton Bossier after hospital staff contacted the police department about a man coming into the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the leg. Fields was treated for a non-life threatening wound. Thomas is a black male, 5’5” and weighs 195 pounds. His last known address is in the 4000 block of Beach Street in Bossier City. Anyone who can help police locate him is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100. Callers to Crime Stoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous and could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
