Major Drug Ring Busted In Shreveport

Almost 200,000 dollars worth of illegal drugs is now off the streets. The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit seized the drugs and a whole lot more during a major bust this morning. Four people are behind bars and a drug ring no longer exists. Police have been investigating the suspected leader, 24-year-old, Willie Baber for more than six months. Agents hit his home first early Friday morning in the 2000 block of Bermuda. There they uncovered a kilo of cocaine, worth about 100,000 dollars on the street and 7,000 dollars in illegal proceeds. After arresting Baber and 22-year-old, Michelle Dahl; Agents raided two other houses he was involved in. One in the 1000 block of Babylon.There 39-year-old, Ronnie Mandigo was arrested. Mandigo was sitting on 7-pounds of marijuana and 11,000 dollars in cash. The other, in the 2600 block of Westover. 30-year-old, Shirley Davis was taken into custody along with 7-ounces of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Police say the information about the "illegal activity" came from concerned citizens. Along with 181-thousand dollars worth of cocaine, crack-cocaine and marijuana, three guns, two big screen t-v`s and three cars were seized. Two of them from Baber`s residence. The operation took about five hours to complete. 25 agents from numerous agencies participated. The suspects face numerous charges and police believe more arrests could follow.
