Sports Get Back on Track!

The Shreveport came back home Friday night and snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating the St. Paul Saints 8-4. Enohel Polanco led the 10-hit Shreveport attack with three hits, including two doubles in the victory. Neb Brown and Al Corbeil also chipped in with two hits each and Corbeil also had two RBIs. T.J. Hendricks pitched the first six innings, scattered six hits and gave up just one run in picking up his fourth win of the season. The Sports took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Polanco doubled and scored on a single by Tommy Bryant. Shreveport would go on and score three runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth and sixth innings. The Sports and St. Paul will play the second game of the three-game series Saturday at Fair Grounds Field. Game time 7:05 pm.
