Webster Parish Man Pleads Guilty in Baby Shaking Case

A Webster Parish man has pleaded guilty to the shaking death of his two month old daughter. Bertie Randal Hicks pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter in connection with the November incident. Hicks was originally charged with second degree murder after his daughter, Elizabeth, died two days after becoming unresponsive while in his care. Hicks, who could face up to 40 years in prison, will be sentenced on September 11th.
