Gourdine Begins Sentence

The man who got a controversial prison term of one year after killing 17-year old Amanda Laurenson, with his car while drunk driving began serving his sentence yesterday
But, William Gourdines sentence will be re-evaluated in the coming days after criticism from the Caddo District Attorneys Office and an appeals court who called the sentence extremely lenient.
Judge Leon Emanuel will now have to reconsider certain left out facts from the first trial in determining if Gourdine should get a lengthier sentence.
