Pedestrian Dies after Motorcycle Accident

Shreveport Police are investigating an accident involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian that occurred in front of El Dorado Casino on Clyde Fant Parkway Friday night. Michael Neal Fort, 39, of Shreveport was crossing the street with a group of people when he was struck by a motorcycle driven by 40-year-old Daryl Atchley (address currently unknown). Atchley was headed northbound on Clyde Fant when a group of people were crossing Clyde Fant about 15 feet from crosswalk. Fort hit his head on the curb, while Atchley laid his bike down. Both were taken to LSU Hospital. Fort died of his injuries on Saturday. The case is under investigation. No charges have been filed.
