It is the biggest volunteer group ever for Shreveport's chapter of Operation Support our Troops. About forty people put snacks, toiletries, Christmas stockings and words of encouragement into the 110 boxes, the biggest packing the group has ever done.

The boxes will be sent to remote areas of Afghanistan where troops don't have showers or mess halls.

If you didn't have a chance to donate items or volunteer don't worry. They send supplies and encouragement five times a year.

Operation Support our Troops will do another packing in January for Valentines Day.
