Reported by: RNS Saturday, Nov 21, 2009 @03:14pm CST (Killeen, TX) -- A hearing begins Saturday in the San Antonio, Texas hospital room of the man accused of 13 shooting deaths at Fort Hood.
The legal proceeding involving Army Major Nidal Hasan Saturday is to determine if having him in pre-trial confinement is appropriate. His civilian attorney, retired Army Colonial John Galligan, says Nadal is paralyzed from the waist down after being shot during his eventual capture. Galligan says he will argue the pretrial proceedings are being conducted hastily and without enough consideration of Hasan's medical condition. |
