Wednesday, Nov 4, 2009 @09:01am CST CLOSURES: Hwy. 164 from Sibley to Doyline Hwy. 163 South of Doyline, near Bistineau State Park Fuller Road North at Hwy. 371 Hwy. 160 due to washout Sand Hill Road (East end) is washed out Redbud Road Doc Steed north of Rice Road Allan Drive A Number of Parish Access Roads to the Lake Bistineau area are flooded and impassible (South Sibley/Heflin and Doyline areas). Expect high and rising waters when traveling those access roads. Some areas restricted to residents only. Lake Bistineau will reach it's peak elevation at 147.5 sometime tomorrow (Wednesday) and a slow recession is expected. Levels are expected to still be at or near 147' into next week. Residents may be displaced for several more days; and those staying in their flooded homes should understand that any needs for emergency services may be seriously delayed due to extreme flooding and impassible roadways. Officials STRONGLY ADVISE evacuation of severely flooded areas for the safety and wellbeing of residents and responders. |
