Monday, Nov 2, 2009 @10:48pm CST Shreveport, LA-The LSUS men’s basketball team demolished the Arlington Baptist Patriots with a high octane offensive production on Monday night at the Dock by a final score of 113-48.
The Pilots opened up the game with a 15-0 run five minutes into the game and a 19-0 run at the end of the first half and into the second. LSUS led by as much as 67 points with 9 minutes remaining in the contest. LSUS had six different players in the game with 10 or more points. John Anthony Anglin was the top scorer with 15 total points and also led the team with 5 assists. The Pilots played great defense as well and forced a total of 34 turnovers to build the big lead. Mark Jackson led the team with 4 steals on the night and also led the team with 6 rebounds. The Pilot shot 53% from the field and 68% from the line. The Pilots dominated every aspect of the game on their way to the first victory of the season. The next game for the LSUS Pilots will be on Friday, November 6th, as they travel to Waxahachie, Texas to play Southwestern Assemblies of God at 8 p.m. The next game at the Dock for the Pilots will be on Wednesday, November 11th, against Wiley College at 7:30 p.m. |
