Bossier City Police are currently working more than a dozen incidents of vehicles stalled in high water. Most are on Airline Drive south of I-20 and on Benton Road north on I-20. Large portions of the major roadways in the city are flooded.  People are advised NOT to drive tonight in the city.

The following roads are closed:  Shed Road, Beckett Street, Airline Drive at Douglas, all roads off of Benton Road and Airline Drive that enter the Old Greenacres neighborhood are also closed. Large portions of the major roads in Bossier City are flooded and the police department is putting up barricades where and when they can.

Chief Mike Halphen has every available officer as well as several reserve police officers on the streets tonight.
