While growing up in Ohio’s capital city, Kerry co-hosted and reported for a weekly radio program that aired on WCBE-FM. His most memorable assignments include interviewing legendary college football coach Lou Holtz on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, and spending a week at Disney World covering the unveiling of an exhibit about extraterrestrial encounters. Through high school he was a reporter and anchor for the WBNS-TV Kids News Network. Kerry says these experiences built the foundation for which his career stands upon today.
In June 2008, Kerry spent a week at KGAN/KFXA-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. There he covered flooding that paralyzed the region. He also launched and produced the first week of the station’s 5pm newscast.
A University of Cincinnati graduate, Kerry is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
