in Advance of Your Wedding:
Send out your save-the-date announcements.
Find a bridal salon and begin trying on wedding dresses
and veils. Bring these item with you:
* Stockings
* Heels
* Strapless Bra
* Hair Clip
Start looking at flowers and interview florists for style
and cost.
Search for menu ideas and hire a caterer. The food at
your wedding depends on the price you’ve set. You can have a buffet, or, you
can have a formal dinner where your guests order ahead of time. Then, there’s
always the “cake and munchies” option. Just have your caterer serve the wedding
cake and provide an array of finger foods.
Research wedding photography and hire wedding
photographers and videographers.
Get ideas for music and hire a band or DJ. Then again,
you could just hook your IPod up to a sound system with your song selection in
the order you and your bride/groom arrange it.
Finalize flower and décor ideas, and select a florist.
Include specifics of each floral arrangement in your contract.
Order your gown and wedding veil.
Shop for and select the perfect bridesmaid dress.
Book your honeymoon!
Browse
and purchase wedding dress accessories. Start at the top of your head and go down to the
tips of your toes and list the things you’ll be wearing. Be sure to include
something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Think of
everything from bobby pins to toenail polish. Here are the most important:
* Veil
* Shoes
* Jewelry
Discuss ceremony ideas with your Officiate and ask to
hear the readings he or she is planning for the ceremony. Or, write your own
vows.
Register for gifts. This
is the fun part. You and your bride/groom take one day and go shopping. There are no limits here. Register for everything
you want. However, keep in mind that, in the crowd of people coming to your wedding, there is probably a
wide range of finances. Be sure to register for the expensive things you need and want, such as,
furniture, paintings and other decorations, as well as the cheaper items, such as, spatulas, coat
hangers, and cereal bowls.
Reserve rooms for out-of-town guests.
