6 to 4 Months in Advance of Your Wedding

¨ Select groomsmen's attire.

¨ Order all wedding attire. This is very important to do six to four months before the wedding because

     clothing ordered from out of town needs time to be shipped. Then, you may need time to have it

     altered.

¨ Buy the wedding rings.

¨ Order printed items:

s wedding invitations

s stationery

s matches

s napkins

s thank you notes.

¨ Register for gifts. This is the fun part. You and your bride/groom take one day and go shopping. There

    are no limits here. Register for everything you want. However, keep in mind that, in the crowd of people

    coming to your wedding, there is probably a wide range of finances. Be sure to register for the

    expensive things you need and want, such as, furniture, paintings and other decorations, as well as the

    cheaper items, such as, spatulas, coat hangers, and cereal bowls.

¨ Purchase accessories. Start at the top of your head and go down to the tips of your toes and list the

    things you’ll be wearing. Be sure to include something old, something new, something borrowed and

   something blue. Think of everything from bobby pins to toenail polish. Here are the most important:

¨ Assist mothers in selecting attire. Remember, patience is a virtue.
