A former teacher has turned herself in for sexual assault.
The Columbia County Sheriff Calvin Knighton says the teacher gave drugs to a male student and had sex with him, over eight months.
The Knighton says they arrested 30-year-old Allison Dean this afternoon.
Dean taught in the Magnolia School district but resigned last Wednesday.
Knighton says Dean faces eight counts of sexual assault, with each count punishable from six to thirty years in prison.
