Erica was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. In college, she worked in the Athletic Department’s Media Relations office, and at the local NBC station in town, KOMU. She also interned with KXAS in Dallas where she learned the ropes of a fast-paced newsroom and big city reporting.  She joined the KTAL News Team in July 2008. As a Texas native, she feels right at home in the Ark-La-Tex. Having spent four years in the cold Missouri winters, she is happy to be back in the south where the sun is warm and the people are friendly. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, checking out a good movie, and relaxing near water. Her goal is to give the people of the Ark-La-Tex a voice and be fair and accurate.
