A lot of people have faith Mitt Romney will do well here, just because his campaign has done such a good job organizing on the ground.
Here's what's at stake: Illinois has 54 delegates. This is not a "winner-take-all-state," so all the candidates have a chance to walk away with some of those delegates. Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney have spent a lot of time campaigning here.
Right now, Romney has a pretty strong lead in the delegate count. Santorum needs a victory here to keep his campaign alive.
Turnout is going to be key in this race. Romney needs a strong turnout in the city and collar counties. Santorum is going to do well with downstate voters. Polls close at 7 pm.
